Default To those of you who eat Fage Greek Yogurt

As you know, the fruit is separate from the actual yogurt. You need to add the fruit to the yogurt before eating it. I'm confused. On the pkg. it says to "Please Do Not Stir". Why? How in the heck are you supposed to incorporate the fruit if you don't stir it in? Are you supposed to just spread the fruit on top of the yogurt? If so, why? I don't get it.

Btw, I still stir my fruit into the yogurt. I'm such a rebel!

I don't eat that brand, but the fruit is on the bottom of mine too. I haven't noticed it saying do not stir, but I'm curious too. Weird.

Turns out the Greeks don't stir, they dip. It is fine to spoon the toppings over the yogurt: just don't mix them together says Joyce Lee, promotions director for Fage yogurt. If you blend the sidecar of honey and fruit into the main tub of yogurt, you get a diluted, less Greek yogurt experience. Nothing bad will happen to you but, you will offend the Greek gods.

I say blend away - it all gets mixed in your stomach anyway! LOL

Hmmm...blending doesn't seem to make that much difference to mine. Interesting.

I love Fage yogurt. I buy the plain and add my own fruit, but have eaten the kind you're talking about. I usually just add the fruit to the yogurt and mix it up a little bit. I don't stir it up really well.

Fage is the best Greek yogurt, IMO. Much better than Chobani but Chobani comes in more flavors.

I always stir my Fage and I'm still alive to tell about it.

I love the Fage, with fruit, but cannot stand any yogurt, plain...even Fage.
I don't stir, but not because I've ever noticed any "do not stir" warning.
I have one, most days.

Have no idea — I get the plain Fage and mix granola into it. For Greek yogurt fans: Do NOT get Safeway's house brand. Unfit for human consumption.

I love Fage yogurt..just wish I could find the full fat version at more stores around here.

I also buy the plain and stir in my own extras...my current favorite combo is frozen blueberries, pepitas, and unsweetened coconut flakes.

If it is the 2% kind I will add a drizzle of macadamia nut oil for some extra fat but the full fat kind doesn't need it. Lots of good fats and protein to start my day. Yum !

I haven't tried that brand. Just last week I tried Lucerne's Greek Yogurt and I gotta admit, it had a nice creamy consistency and I was pleased - who knew?! Guess I'm switching!

You LIKED the Lucerne? I had to throw it out couldn't take it. Fage, Chobani, even Fresh & Easy's house brand were fine.

I am going to look for Fage. Never heard of it. I always buy Chobani, but love to try new brands!

I've tried other brands of Greek yogurt, but Fage is the only one I can tolerate. The other brands just seem so bitter to me. I don't know that I've ever seen a full fat version. I buy both the 2% and 0%, but definitely prefer the 2%. I wish Fage would come out with more flavors.

Shamrock, thanks for the explanation. I guess I'll have to eat my yogurt in the closet so that I don't anger the Greek Gods, 'cause I'm still gonna stir!

I don't really like Chobani anymore, prefer Oikos or Fage when possible.

Thats a deal!

I am trying to find Fage Goat yogurt but usually only Greek or middle eastern stores have it.

Chobani has really gone downhill, IMO. I bought some on sale and its totally lost it's mojo.

FYI, Costco usually has the large containers of Fage. And I think it's a bit cheaper than the usual supermarket price.

Thanks CM...I was excited to get it for $1.50 @ Kroger....I will stock up when I get to Target.

KimMi...the only place I can find the full fat is @ The Fresh Market or Whole Foods. Unfortunately neither store is super close by so I usually just pick up the 2% at Kroger.

I dont have one in front of me to compare but it seemed like the Chobani had a lot more carbs and/or sugar so I have not tried it. They sure seem to have a hold on the market for refridgerater space at the stores around here though.

WM here used to sell the bigger container of the 2% and now they don't. No one, here, has the bigger container of 2%. Publix has it, but Publix is way out of the way. It's not even in the same town/county.

You are absolutely right Fage has the least, that's why I started getting it.
