Default When do you put out your fall decor?

That is, if you do put put out fall decor...when do you put it out?

I was out shopping over the weekend and all the fall stuff was out. From scarecrows to pumpkins and turkeys, I saw it all out every where.

Despite the fact that I mowed the lawn this morning and it was about 85* outside with 95% humidity, I fel compelled to go to the basement to dig out my halloween decorations. I am resisting so far. I will try to wait until mid september.

I usually wait until mid September to put out any fall decorations. Its been so hot here in Ohio that you cant hardly stand outside long enough to decorate anything.

I don't change decor with the seasons.

Never. An outdoor flag is about as fall as I get.

If I thought putting out Fall decorations would hurry the season, I'd put mine out today!
I can hardly wait for Summer to be over!
I usually decorate for Fall about the middle of September.

Not til the leaves change color. I love Fall, but I try to hang on to summer as long as possible.

I do too Denise. I am sick of this particular summer....too hot, too humid, and too many storms.

Not until the middle of Sept. Once the trees start to change, then I start to put them out.

I usually don't change the decorations according to season, but really do like the idea. It wouldn't be too expensive to change the throw pillows to fall colors.

I'm with Mimilee, if I thought it would hurry the fall weather (cool, crisp and beautiful colors) I'd go buy the pillows today (Money or not in my pocket). The temp. has been in the 100s since the last week in July. Well except for today which was 96.

If I bother, I do it right after Labor Day. I don't like Summer so am always happy to get out my favorite colors and scatter them around. Autumn makes me very happy.

Not until the Autumnal Equinox which is September 23 this year. Halloween stuff gets put out the first week in October and put away November 1. The fall stuff stays up until after Thanksgiving. I love fall decorations!

I wait till after Labor Day. Then just 'fall' stuff goes out. I save the jack-o-lanterns and other Halloween stuff till Oct 1. November 1 the Halloween stuff gets packed down and the more "Thanksgiving-y" stuff gets put out. The weekend AFTER Thanksgiving, it gets packed down and Christmas comes out.

Not until the end of September. September is quite nice here. I think it's my favorite month.

Usually I do it in early Sept. but if the heat hangs on this year, I won't have any interest until it cools off.

I won't put mine out til end of Sept. I am planning to paint the familyroom the 1st weekend in Sept so don't want to mess with it then. I am going from a country look to a more modern beachy feel. That is my goal so won't put out fall things until got that room all done and maybe the bathroom depending if I paint.

To me each holiday keeps coming earlier and earlier. My mom was somewhere and saw christmas things out already and that is just crazy.

I'm ready for the heat to be gone and I can get more night time. I won't put out halloween stuff til mid october. Then those get put away and I wont put out thanksgiving stuff til mid november.
The house will be regular for rest of august and all of september. I mean, I'll have brown linens out but it's not gonna be like someone will walk in and say "wow, you've decorated for fall".

If I put out my fall things now, does that mean cooler weather will come too? Usually I put my fall stuff out in September and go more Halloweenish in October and then tweak a little for Thanksgiving. I love Fall!

When I can walk out on the deck for five minutes and water doesn't run down my face!
