Default Why does an old scar suddenly start itching?

I have a scar on the palm of my hand, actually at the base of my thumb on my palm, and it is driving me insane today itching! Nothing I do will stop the itch. It's a very old scar; probably at least 20-25 years old, and it doesn't do it all the time, just occasionally, but when it does, it just won't stop! I wonder what causes this?

Yep, that's what I was going to say.

I have a 13" scar on my knee that is gosh, 30 yrs old. It still feels numb to the touch sometimes.

It's on your palm? Doesn't that mean you're going to get money??

I'd say nerve damage too.

I say to get some hydrocortisone cream and the itching should stop. Sometimes a scar just itches to remind you of what you did...

I was also going to say that you're going to come into some money!
