Default Palin: Obama wants public to shut up

I missed her talk with Wallace this morning, but the woman is crazy. I'm beginning to believe the Repubs deserve a nut!

Your Palin wrap up

President Barack Obama is making "misguided decisions" that he expects the American people to "shut up and accept," Sarah Palin said Sunday.

"Many of us are not going to sit down and shut up, we're going to say 'No we do not like it," the former Republican governor of Alaska said on "Fox News Sunday."

Pressed by host Chris Wallace to explain where the president is telling Americans to sit down and shut up, Palin said: "Just kind of his general persona, I think, that he has when he's up there at, I'll call it a lectern. When he is up there and he is telling us basically 'I know best. My people in the White House know best and we are going to tell you that yes you do want this essentially nationalized health care system.' And we're saying, 'No, we don't' and the messages are not being received by Barack Obama. So I think instead of lecturing he needs to stop and he needs to listen"

She also called for White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and Attorney General Eric Holder to step down because “I think these guys are giving our president wrong advice.”

She said Holder should resign “because of the way that we are treating these terrorists, allowing them our U.S constitutional protections when they do not deserve them.”

Palin left open the possibility of running against Obama in 2012 saying it would be “absurd” to not consider a run for president.

“I would (run) if I believe that that is the right thing to do for our country and for the Palin family,” she said.

Obama, she said, could change the political dynamic and boost his reelection odds if he “played the war card” and declared war on Iran or bolstered Israel.

"If the election were today I do not think that Obama would be elected. But three years from now things could change on the national security front," Palin said.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said she is not looking to lead the Tea Party movement she spoke to Saturday night.

"No, I would hope that the Tea Party, the tea partiers, don't believe that they need some kind of well-oiled machine, some kind of replicate of the GOP or the Democrat Party and instead they remain a movement of the people uprising," she said.

Asked by Wallace what was wrong with the Republican Party that people felt it necessary to go outside the party, Palin said, "Both major parties, the Ds and the Rs have both kinda lost their way in some respects.”

She continued, "When the GOP strays from the planks in the platform a people's movement like the tea party movement is invited in to, kind of, hold these politicians accountable again.”

Palin, who slammed Emanuel last week for calling liberal activists "f---ing retards," declined to ask conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh to apologize for using the term "retards" on his nationally syndicated show, saying Limbaugh used the word as satire.

"I didn't hear Rush Limbaugh calling a group of people who he did not agree with f---ing retards and we did know that Rahm Emanuel, it's been reported, did say that. There's a big difference there," said Palin, whose youngest son Trig has Down Syndrome.

Palin made the comment after Wallace asked her about this Limbaugh quote: "Our politically correct society is acting like some giant insult's taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards. ... I mean these people, these liberal activists, are kooks."

"Should Rush Limbaugh apologize," Wallace asked.

Palin responded, "They are kooks so I agree with Rush Limbaugh."

And we all know who used the war card. How's that working for the GOP Sarah?

She agrees with Rush so the retard word was OK for him to use? You betcha!

A huge majority of Americans do want an affordable health care plan!
I must ask where she's getting her spewings.

It's the 'calling of people' by a negative word that's wrong. I get it now. It's not the "saying" of the word; it's the "calling."
Palin Commandment No. 1

I also like the 'run if it's good for the Palin family.' OK, we can see that it won't be good for Trig or it's too hard on the youngest (Willow???) to continue to drag that girl everywhere with her pageant wave. That annoys me---both the girl and the wave!

Here's another of her gems. This from Wallace interview @ Fox. I got it from huffpost.
Quote:
She acknowledged moderate successes in Obama's foreign policy -- specifically towards Afghanistan and Pakistan -- but still questioned why the president "pals around" with domestic terrorists (Bill Ayers).
The woman needs a new speech writer. Same old dead horse being beaten yet once again.
If the GOP wants her, good for the Democratic Party.

Arianna Huffington: Sunday Roundup

The difference between Sarah Palin's reaction to Rahm Emanuel's ill-advised use of the word "retarded" (directed at liberals), and Rush Limbaugh's use of the word (directed at advocates for the mentally handicapped) speaks volumes. When it was reported that Emanuel used the word in a private meeting -- one time -- Palin quickly took to Facebook and, mentioning Emanuel by name, called on President Obama to fire him. When Limbaugh repeatedly used the term on his radio show, Palin did nothing. Then, after being goaded by commentators, she had her spokesperson offer a generic criticism of "demeaning name calling," never mentioning Limbaugh by name -- and even had her spokesperson phone Rush to assure him she hadn't used his name. There was no call for Limbaugh to be fired -- or even to apologize. Now that Palin's made her $100,000 appearance at the teabaggers' convention, maybe she can tell us: Why the blatant double standard?

Her latest spin on the Chris Wallace show, today, is that rush used the R word as satire.

I'm listening to the rerun. She is spouting nothing but a bunch of friggin lies and Wallace doesn't even follow-up her idiotic remarks. It's all "you betch cha, hell and bull." Of course, Wallace was hoping she would sit in his lap.

No, as usual, she's got it wrong. It's more like the public wants Palin to shut up.

As long as someone keeps writing checks and putting a microphone in her hand.

Her talking is only half as scary as the people that actually LISTEN.

At least some of us can look at it like a train wreck we can't take our eyes off of - to many think she is right!

I think those that think she is right are a very small minority. For some bizzaro reason the media plays it up way more then it should.
The media has made her the news, not her followers.
If she ran in 2012 either on the GOP ticket or her own astro turf ticket, it would assure a Dem win.
If she runs on the GOP ticket she will be eaten her alive. She'll never win the nomination, all her past, all her lies will be put out there for all to enjoy, and that will be the last we see of her.
So I say let her rant, put those cameras in her face, encourage her to run.
The more she's out there the more likely she won't be out there for long.

I was stunned watching the recap of the convention last night/this am

Some of the people interviewed were, generously "Not Too Bright" - one woman, running on the repub ticket understood to some degree that part of our nations problems come from the lack of manufacturing jobs here in the USA. BUT - she then went on the say that instead of bailing out big business the government should be manufacturing something so people could go back to work -?!?!?! - I just shook my head and watched more.

Palin said NOTHING of substance but hit on all of the frightening TAX US, BANKRUPT US, UNPRESIDENTED DEFICIT. But no suggested solutions - just folksy insulting inuendo.

What is with the dumbing down of politics? The fear mongering? But no substantitive ideas?

And the peoople in the audiance as the cameras panned the crowd during her speech - they were salivating! Turned my stomach. For all the accuastions about Obama Idolators? At least he is smart and good looking - she is a mean and not so bright, shiny snake.

If she does run for Pres., I wonder if she'll choose McCain as her V.P. Oh, the irony.

On ABCnews last night there was more "reporting" on how popular her speech was, how enthusiastic the crowd - when you can see for yourself it was less than half the crowd that cheered the speech.

Mark Halperin came on and made some very pointed remarks about how the "old" media - don't remember his exact term - is making much of something that's not really significant, and that this whole Tea Party thing doesn't have near the support it needs to keep going. I believe he was the one who said that Palin would continue to act like she may run, because that's what brings the high-paying speaking requests. I really liked what he said, but couldn't find it this AM.

Interesting question - if she runs who would WANT to be HER running mate?

Rick Perry because it would give him more visibility in Washington. He wants to run for President one of these days.

Maybe David Letterman, just for kicks. :roflol:

At least that would grab the national attention. And they couldn't be much more of an odd couple that McCain/Palin were.

I like what Kinky Friedman said about Rick Perry - "My dog could do a better job of running this state than Rick Perry." Which answers the question, what would be worse than Sarah Palin running for President? Answer: Sarah Palin and Rick Perry on the same ticket.
