Default Bone Density Test - how long does it take?

I'm almost ready to leave for mine. DH is going with but was just wondering how long he will have to wait - should I send him on errands? With all the flu - almost hate to wait in a hospital waiting room.

Thanks for any help.

Its fast. You just lay on a table, the scanner goes back and forth slowly. Lay on one side and the scanner goes again.....done!

About 15 minutes for the whole thing, including the questions before.

yup! It took me longer to walk in from the parking lot than it did to get the test.

We would do 3 scans (hip, 2 of the spine). As others have said it is very quick.
