Default Need opinions, please

The double window in the guest bedroom is 72" wide and 42" long. It has 2" white wooden blinds, with no other covering. I decided to add white sheer panels but couldn't find the right length. The panels I bought are 63" long. They don't look too bad, but I'm wondering if they should be hemmed to just below the window frame?

I have 63-inch curtains in my bedrooms and I don't think they need hemming. If I were to want them hemmed, I think I'd want them to brush the window sill rather than hang below it.

Are your windows as short as mine? The sheers hang about 20 inches below the window, but as I said, it doesn't look too bad.

RealSimple tells us curtains should hit the sill or the floor, and I agree.
