Thanks for the suggestions. I think I am just overwhelmed with lighting fixtures right now. Am going to leave it for awhile, until I have to pick one for the kitchen. That is what I plan on concentrating on now. Need backsplash, new exhaust fan, and of course, the light!
I will start a new thread with this project because I don't even know what kind of professional to get to install fan and backsplash! Thanks again.

Ok! Happy kitchen light hunting....that kitchen one is more practical for work but you will so appreciate it coordinating with dining light once THAT decision is made.

Do you know anyone in area who had kitchen remodel? Some of my gf's had a separate guy who only did tile backsplashes in kitchens.....I like that I was able to go see the work to help me select someone to do that job. I have my tile but have not decided on what to do with countertop so I am in decision limbo myself. Am thinking of having DH start with repainting the kitchen ceiling as its a separate isolated job that hasn't been done for a few decades... One thing at a time!

I am going to the glass store tomorrow. I am looking into one continuous piece of glass. May be way out of budget, don't know.

Default Another one I think I LOVE, but too $$$ I think

Just was looking for something different. I love the shape of this. It is selenite. After the holidays, will be going over to the East Coast to see it in person. Got a feeling it is way over my budget........but have to check it out!

Comingbacktolife......that was just a surprising fixture, NOT what I envision for anyone's space...just sayin'.

I was going through stack of magazines last night and saw these two more sparse sort of modern ones wonder if Cayousa is still about?

First from Pottery Barn

I've seem variations of this light for a few years now and have always loved it.

Default Still around.........

Gave up with the dining room et al chandelier. Someday I will find one that is just right. In the mean time, we decided to tackle the built in we want in the den. That is the big project for the year. Perhaps when that is done, lighting for the entire space will fall into place.
