Default If you remember Miz M from the HGTV MB--her DH passed

This was posted over there.

Mîz M

Posted Feb 06, 2010 11:50 AM Feb 06, 2010 11:50 AM Hide Post Hi, thank you for asking about me.

My husband passed away Nov 25 after complications from a bone marrow transplant for leukemia.

He had testicular cancer in 2005 and the "cure" (chemo) gave him leukemia last year.

He had the bone marrow transplant April '09 and nothing ever went right after. Many of you were on the CarePage I had for him and know of the complications he suffered.

He was in the hospital for nearly 7 months, over an hour away, and in ICU the last 5 weeks. The last week, he had a tracheostomy, dialysis, feeding tube through his nose, cathetor, IV poles on both sides.

The last day, I had to make the decision no one should ever have to make. It took five hours of lowering the oxygen before he passed. I will never get over this, ever.

My daughter (she's 15) and I are trying to survive. I was with my husband since I was barely 17 years old, I'm 40 now, and don't know a life without him. He was my everything. I could write a lot more, how he suffered more than any human should ever have to, but it's too hard. I just wanted to let you know why I haven't been here, and that I miss you all very much. I doubt I'll be back for a while, I will probably be losing my house and decorating is not really something I even care about right now.

I hope everyone is doing well. I think about you a lot. We could certainly use any prayers you can give, to try to live through this nightmare my life has turned out to be.

Oh my, it certainly puts things in perspective. I will certainly say prayers for her and her daughter. May her dear husband rest in peace and may the wonderful memories of their lives together help to sustain them at this tragic time for them.

I do remember the name...

Death is never easy, and a long extended time of dying is almost harder on those left behind. I can't imagine losing my husband, and then facing the loss of our home as well. Prayers for her and her daughter... I hope they have a lot of support of family and friends during all of this. (*"*)

I don't recall her, but I am sorry to hear what they have had to endure. Thoughts and prayers that her and her daughter find the strength to move forward.

prayers for MzM and her daughter. I know you had a hard decision to make. I made that decision for my Mom, yes hard to make but you just can't stand watching them suffer. God be with you both.

Her name isn't familiar with me, but I sure feel sorry for her. I hope things work out.
