New home for my displaced bird of paradise

She got thrown out of the family room when I redid that room, so here's her new home:

She's the first thing you notice when you walk in the front door. That's the wall that is directly in front of you when you come in. I like it better there than I did in the family room! The proportion is better and it's more striking in that small space (the foyer).

I need to replace that lamp now, I think. Oh well. That project's going at the BOTTOM of the list!

Thank you guys. It's so rare when I feel like I get an opportunity to place something in EXACTLY a place where it looks like it belongs. I so enjoyed doing it! Small pleasures I guess. Thanks for letting me share.

It looks like it was made to go there. And it's perfect with that wall color. BTW, I really like the bookcase, too.
