Cool idea for your grandsons, Maggie!

I did this with my 6 year old gs yesterday - take a bar of Ivory Soap (must use Ivory - other kinds won't work)

Put it on a plate in the microwave and turn it on for 1-2 minutes and let the kids watch in the window - -it starts to swell up and turns into what looks like a great big cloud - - when it's done - you can crumble it up - it looks gooey but it's not - it's still dry soap - - and use it in the bathtub - -I think you can even put a little food coloring in it so that it is colored.

GS LOVED it . . . and it was a cheap activity - followed by a long bath with floating soap clouds!

A couple funnies from a bragging Nana.
Yesterday we were going to the next town down from us called Lake Jackson. The 5 year old says, " I don't want to go to Michael Jackson. He's bad.".

Same one asked me today sf Angleton gets tomatoes. I said sure. he looked real scared. Then he said he gets scared when tomatoes are coming. I figured out he meant tornadoes. They all just went through those bad tornadoes in Dallas/Ft. Worth a couple months ago.
