The Colorado fires have taken the othe fires out of the news. What is happening to those fires.

NM fires still burning, but I suspect not threatening populated areas as much as the CO fires.
What people outside of fire country don't always realize is that many landscapes are meant to burn periodically. Coastal California is one of them. Problem is when you house millions of people right in or next to those places. |

WBC Fire (one north of here, burned our old ranch) is still reported at 87% contained, over 290,000 acres....updated 6/25/12.
Little Bear (by Ruidoso) is 90% contained, over 44,000 acres......updated today. |
